Bridget Wipf brings progressive expertise in instruction, outreach, entrepreneurship, and intellectual property to her new role as the entrepreneurship librarian in the Research Services & Engagement department at West Virginia University Libraries.
Wipf will focus on supporting faculty, students, and the community with market research, funding resources, and grant navigation. She will lead intellectual property and entrepreneurship services through the Patent and Trademark Resource Center, offering consultations, workshops, and guidance on commercialization. As a business and social sciences specialist, she will deliver research support, maintain key tools, and contribute to institutional initiatives through partnerships and professional development.
Previously, Wipf served as an associate librarian at Northern Arizona University Cline Library, where she taught information literacy skills to both undergraduate and graduate students and provided individual and group research consultations for complex research questions. She also developed online learning materials for asynchronous instruction, managed library collections within her liaison areas, and worked as the Patent and Trademark Resource Center representative. In addition, she served as the liaison librarian for the Steve Sanghi College of Engineering and the W.A. Franke College of Business.
Wipf earned a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Science in sociology from Northern Arizona University.
