Libraries has initiated a university-wide trial of Elsevier’s Reaxys database from September 15 through November 15, 2026.
Reaxys indexes chemical literature, patents, substances, reactions and bioactivity, and includes a retrosynthesis tool. Users can also draw chemicals and reactions and search for related data and literature based on what they have drawn. It supports research in chemistry, medicine, engineering, and materials science.
All WVU faculty, staff and students are encouraged to explore Reaxys and provide feedback to the Libraries. Libraries will host a Reaxys Trial Feedback Session on Monday, Oct. 26, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. ET. This virtual session will provide an opportunity for WVU faculty, staff, and students to discuss Reaxys database features and ask questions. Register here.
A Reaxys account is not required to access the trial, but creating one provides additional functionality. Users who already have an Elsevier account through Knovel, Scopus, ClinicalKey or ScienceDirect can use that account to log in to Reaxys.
