WVU Libraries, in collaboration with the WVU Humanities Center, is excited to present the first Art in the Libraries retrospective exhibit. The 2015-2024 retrospective illustrates and celebrates 10 years of exhibits and programs across the three Morgantown campus libraries, showcasing their scope and impact on the campus and community.
To honor and reflect, Art in the Libraries will host a multi-disciplinary panel discussion with key exhibit contributors in the Downtown Campus Library’s Milano Reading Room on Oct. 8 at 4 p.m.
The event is open to students, faculty and the public, and all those interested can find event details here.
WVU Libraries presents “WVU Art in the Libraries Retrospective: 2015-2024". Left: Encaustic painting by WVU School of Medicine Grants Administrator Dana Gray, from her solo exhibit, 2019. Right: From REMIX exhibit (2018-19) by artist Sofie N. using WVRHC’s On View Digital Collection.
Like the panelists, the exhibit explores a broad spectrum of pertinent subjects, from addressing environmental concerns to exploring food justice, ethics, voting, healthcare, contemporary art, literature and more. It represents the best of the Art in the Libraries initiative and celebrates the impact on the campus, community and beyond.
