Neal Museum opens new exhibit showcasing history of West Virginia's oldest school of pharmacy

The William A. Neal Museum of the Health Sciences has opened a new exhibit that showcases the history of WVU’s School of Pharmacy—from its founding to the present. The exhibit is located in the Pylons Commons at Health Sciences Center North, across from the Neal Museum, and highlights the dedication and resilience of generations of people who committed to always improving the health and access to health for West Virginians.

The exhibit is on display and free for students, faculty, staff, and community to visit through May 2026.

Beginning as a small department under the School of Medicine in 1914, the WVU School of Pharmacy has grown over the past 100 years to a top-ranking program with more than 4,000 alumni. Throughout its history, the school has rapidly grown and adjusted to the needs of West Virginia and the nation to train new generations of pharmacy professionals.
